MediEvil was the brain child of Chris Sorrell with Jason being responsible for much of MediEvil's original gameplay, level design and art. Jason also provided the voice for the game's undead protagonist Sir Daniel Fortesque (which continues to haunt him to this day).

The BAFTA award winning world of MediEvil has been celebrated with a sequel and two successful remakes since the original game's release. The game continues to be cherished by a far reaching global community of gamers and has even been directly homaged by J.K. Rowling for her Harry Potter series of books.

Jason and Chris returned to MediEvil in 2019 for the Sony developed Playstation 4 remake. The duo also co-created the game prequel MediEvil - Fate's Arrow released by Titan Books with Sony.

Process: The images below depict a mixture of Jason's original gameplay and art designs from the original games (1996-2000). Jason's original game play level designs and concept art was created using traditional hand crafted methods - pencils, crayons and paint. Jason's game play design drew on his love of folk tales and adventure games.
Included below are images from the 2019 Sony remake using Jason’s original gameplay and visual designs (with input from Jason). As well as Jason’s drawings and concepts for the prequel story Fate's Arrow (2019).
